today during lunch, a friend explained to me why christians go about spreading the faith. the rationale is that being a christian and therefore subscribing to the “dont-believe-will-go-to-hell” doctrine, one would definitely want to see all his good friends and loved ones in heaven. to not spread the faith would seem irresponsible, how could one see his friends and loved ones go to hell and not stop them. although i’ve read this idea somewhere before, i didn’t really get the drift.

until hours later.

during the drive home, my sis asked me what i would do if a particular good friend of mine starts to smoke. i told her without hesitation “i would try my very very best to persuade him to quit smoking, because i am aware of its detriment and how can i bear to see a good fren waste his life away?”.

then it struck me.

so i started to get the drift a little more and it all started to make a little more sense. so i can now empathize a little more.

but i still don’t believe so dun preach to me kthxbye.
